2. Suture Workshops
Students from the RNFA Program, get ready to roll up
your sleeves and learn the techniques used by the
nation's top RNFAs in our 3 or 6 day, dynamic, hands-on
training workshops! Altogether, you will receive over
34 hours (3 day
SutureStarXpress Workshop) or 54 hours (6 day SutureStar™
Workshop) of simulated surgical skills training
before entering your clinical preceptorship. Call or
email for information. (Experienced perioperative nurses
have the option for a Total Distance Learning (TDL)
program with 28 hours of labs with their home studies).
3. Clinical RNFA Internship
This is a 120 hour (usually about 60 plus cases) clinical preceptorship
(multi-specialty not required, but preferred) at
your hospital or surgery center (150 hours for TDL
students).
NIFA® students enter the clinical
preceptorship phase of their program totally and
properly prepared. They have practiced
advanced,
multi-specialty techniques and cross-over skills so many
times on NIFA labs that they master and own them.
All programs consist of two Courses. Course 1 must be
completed within a year of enrollment and Course 2
(clinical internship) must be completed within one year
directly after the completion of Course 1. Call for
consultation.
